To Whom It May Concern:
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
I am seeking all written communications (emails, faxes, and the like) between the United States Department of Agriculture and Dairy Management, Inc (aka Dairy Management, found at www.dairy.org), from January 1st, 2009, through August 1st, 2016.
I am a professional journalist, the requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. In light of this, I am requesting that any fees be waived.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Good morning, Mr. Roberts.
USDA's FOIA Service Center (FSC) is in receipt of your request below. However, your request is not perfected pursuant to USDA regulations since, based on its wording, this office cannot determine where a search for responsive records should be conducted (whose emails, and in which agency of USDA, etc.).
Please clarify your request; this can be done in multiple ways. For example, you can identify whose communications you would like to receive - by name and/or position. Also, if you identify topic(s) or subject matter of the communications, that will assist in determining where a search should be conducted.
If you would like to discuss clarifying your request, please contact Christine Jordan at 202-772-9091. She is available to discuss your request this afternoon.
Otherwise, please reply to this email with additional details clarifying your request.
Thanks very much.
