To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
A copy of the log of all Freedom of Information Act requests made with APHIS for calendar year 2021 and 2022. I ask that all fields — including the date, requester, description and disposition — are included.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Ben Welsh

Hello Mr. Welsh,
As of today, the program office tasked with searching for records responsive to your request [Animal Care (AC)] has not completed the search process. I can tell you that the AC program is currently diligently working through a backlog of FOIA cases. What I can do is contact my colleague that works in AC's office that oversees records searches to see how soon I can expect to receive a response from them. Once I hear something, I will email you an update.
Sincerely,
Glendora Gilchrist

To Whom It May Concern:
I'm following up on the following Freedom of Information Act request, copied below, and originally submitted on March 16, 2023. You had previously indicated that it would be completed on April 13, 2023. I wanted to check on the status of my request, and to see if there was a new estimated completion date. You had assigned it reference number #2023-APHIS-02689-F.
Thanks for your help, and let me know if further clarification is needed.
