Greetings Sir/Ma’am,
Happy Wednesday! We have received your FOIA request; however, we will need you to specify what type of records you seek and where you believe the files you are requesting might be located.
Example or requests 1: I will like to receive Col Joe Smith's emails pertaining or referencing "Ms. Linda Smith's command Directed investigation" which took place on or about May 1999-June 2012, in Andrew AFB. Example of request 2: I will like to request the “Water Study” (NAME OF DOCUMENTS) that was completed by “WATER COMPANY X” (WHO conducted the study, who or what office has the documents). This study was conducted in the “84th Squadron in Hill AFB” (location on where the document may be or where the specific action/incident took place) on or about “January 1999” (time where the incident/action occurred) When requesting information or records, we will need youto be more specific so that the office of primary responsibility can make a proper determination of where (Base, Organization etc.) to search for the information being requested. Hope you find the examples provided above helpful in submitting the request. Your request is on hold at this time until we receive clarification, if a response is not received by 12 June 2019; your FOIA case will not be process and your request will be closed with no further action.
Thank you and have a great day!
Please send your response to: usaf.pentagon.saf-aa.mbx.haf-foia-workflow@mail.mil

Hello,

I assume that you have a centralised place where formal agreements with other nations are kept. Could you confirm whether that's the case or not?

Thanks,
Emmanuel

Dear Mr. Freudenthal,
We received your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated 31 May 2019, for:
"All agreement with Cameroon relating to defence, support to the Cameroonian military, training of the Cameroonian military and/or weapon sales to them."
Due to our organization having a significant number of pending FOIA requests, we have been unable to process your request within the statutory 20 workdays.  To ensure all requesters are properly served in the order their requests were received, we have instituted multitrack processing of requests.  Based on the information you provided, we have placed your request in the complex track and have assigned FOIA Case Number 2019-03640-F to identify your request.
Since it has been some time since your case was submitted, please provide us with the following information as to your desire going forward.   Please let us know if you still desire the records being requested or if you would like to withdraw your request.  We ask that you submit your desire by responding to this email not later than 17 May 2023.  If we do not receive your response by the above referenced date, your case will be “administratively closed, no fees assessed.”  Should your case be “administratively closed” you have the option to resubmit your request at a later date via the Public Access Link.
Should you desire the FOIA Office to continue working your case, please note, currently, there are approximately 800 cases that will need to be processed ahead of your case to comply with 32 CFR, Part 286.8 subparagraph (a).  We will strive to provide an update between 90 and 120 days.  Our policy is to process requests within their respective tracks in the order in which they were received.  We do process each FOIA request as quickly as possible, however delayed responses can be expected.
Should you need to contact us about your request, please do so via email saf.aa.haf.foia.workflow@us.af.mil Attention Mrs. Monique James.    Please ensure to reference your case number.
