REQUEST DESCRIPTION:
- Video recorded by US Park Police of the Lafayette Square response on June 1, 2020 in Washington, DC.

Your request has been received and has been assigned tracking number NPS-2020-00956. All future correspondence relating to this request should reference this tracking number.

In accordance with 43 CFR 2.15 the National Park Service processes requests on a first-in, first-out basis within several processing tracks. Your request has been placed in the COMPLEX track. There are currently 260 requests ahead of this request in the processing queue.

Our response was due by 09/23/2020. However, due to the amount of requests that precede NPS-2020-00956 and its nature, we can not provide a date of when it will be completed. We hope to have the documents requested within 30-45 Business Days.

1. NPS uses Multitrack Processing<https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-43/subtitle-A/part-2#2.15> to process FOIA requests. The Simple track is for requests that would generally take one to five workdays to process. The Normal track is for requests that would generally take six to twenty workdays to process. The Complex track is for requests that would generally take twenty-one to sixty workdays to process. The Extraordinary track is for requests that would generally take more than sixty workdays to process. The Expedited track is for requests that have been granted expedited processing, which are processed as soon as practicable. Within each track, requests are usually processed on a first-in, first-out basis.
2. FOIAOnline shows that your request was placed in the normal processing track and that there are currently 116 requests ahead of your request in the US Park Police's normal processing track.
3. In accordance with FOIA the NPS had 20 workdays in which to make a determination on your request. Because we did not respond within the required time frame, you have the right to appeal.
