From: FOIA - FNS

Ms. Fernandez,
Thank you for the list of formats for the documents you are seeking. We still require a more specific topic of โ€œscientific evidenceโ€. Is there a certain area that you are interested in? In order to do a search we will need a more focused area.

Thank you
Jennifer

From: Cynthia Fernandez

Morning Jennifer,

As for "scientific evidence," I mean any supporting statistics or trials or information that was presented in as supporting evidence taken into consideration for the final guideline.

Thanks for your time,
Cynthia Fernandez

From: FOIA - FNS

We apologize for the delay. We have conducted the search however; the majority of the records originated with HHS who was the lead for the Dietary Guidelines. We are sorting through the records for those that belong to HHS in order to conduct a consult with them on their release.

Thank you for your patience.

Jennifer

From: U.S. Department Of Agriculture, Office of the Secretary

Good Morning,
We apologize for the delay. As we indicated in our email dated 9/20/17, we have conducted the search however; the majority of the records originated with HHS who was the lead for the Dietary Guidelines. We are sorting through the records for those that belong to HHS in order to conduct a consult with them on their release. This will take additional time as we do not have authority to release records that originated with another Department. We estimate a completion date of Dec 8.

Thank you for your patience.

Jennifer

Good Afternoon,
We apologize for the delay. We are still working on this request however; as mentioned before many of the records are combined with those of HHS. FNS only has permission to release those records we have jurisdiction over. We have to consult with HHS on the other information. We hope to have a full or partial response to you by April 12.

Thank you for your understanding
