Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

1. All significant incident reports (SIRs) and significant event notifications (SENs) between December 14, 2018 and July 7, 2019 regarding the ongoing investigation into the death of 7-year-old migrant girl Jakelin Caal in Customs and Border Protection;
2. All materials relied upon by DHS-OIG in the ongoing investigation into the death of Jakelin Caal, including, but not limited to, photographs, interview notes, and electronic or paper communications;
3. Department of Homeland Security agency components, including, but not limited to, ICE, CBP, and Immigrant Health Services Corps, between December 14 and July 7, 2019 regarding the death of Jakelin Caal;
3. All follow-up communications from OIG to any DHS agency component or Congressional liaison regarding the death of Jakelin Caal between December 14, 2018 and July 7, 2019;
4. All communications between OIG and subject-matter experts, including, but not limited to, public health officials regarding the death of Jakelin Caal, between December 14, 2018 and July 7, 2019.

I am requesting these documents as a journalist who has been covering immigration issues for the last five years at The Atlantic. Due to the increasing number of FOIA requests received by this office, we may encounter some delay in processing your request. Per Section 5.5(a) of the DHS FOIA regulations, 6 C.F.R. Part 5, ICE processes FOIA requests according to their order of receipt. Although ICE’s goal is to respond within 20 business days of receipt of your request, the FOIA does permit a 10- day extension of this time period. As your request seeks numerous documents that will necessitate a thorough and wide-ranging search, ICE will invoke a 10-day extension for your request, as allowed by Title 5 U.S.C. § 552(a)(6)(B). I would appreciate if OIG could take another look at the original request, which I have narrowed. I am requesting:
