From: Jason Koebler
To Whom It May Concern:
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
All formal civil penalty letters or enforcement actions levied against drone (unmanned aerial system) operators, as referenced by Michael Whitaker in a House Transportation and Infrastructure Aviation subcommittee hearing October 7, 2015: http://transportation.house.gov/calendar/eventsingle.aspx?EventID=399335.
Whitaker explained that the FAA took formal action in 20 cases. I am requesting the civil penalty letters from those cases, as well as from any cases that may occur between now and when this request is completed.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. The documents will be used in the course of reporting for Motherboard, VICE Media's science and technology news site. Motherboard regularly covers UAV regulatory issues and these documents will be used to further that coverage (motherboard.vice.com/tag/drone+regulations).
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request, and I ask that this be processed under the "media" fee category. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Jason Koebler

Hi, this is now nearly two months past the revised due date, which was already pushed back twice. What's the status of this?
