Good morning,

This letter serves as a follow-up to your inquiry as to the status of your FOIA request. In searching for responsive documents, OSTP located several documents that originated with other agencies. Accordingly, it is necessary to forward those records to the originating agencies so that they may express their views as to what, if any, information must be withheld. Once the originating agencies have had an opportunity to review those records, OSTP will forward you a response. It is my hope that OSTP will be able to close out your request within the month.

If you have any further questions, please let me know.

Dear Mr. King,

Thank you for reaching out for information on your FOIA request. OSTP located records in response to your request, and several of those contain information that originated at other federal agencies. As a result, OSTP is working with those agencies to determine whether or not any of that information is subject to exemption. When OSTP receives feedback from the originating agencies concerning whether the information should be released, OSTP will be able to finalize a response and provide you with the requested records. My hope is that we can provide you with those records within the next few weeks.

Thank you for your interest in OSTP,

Dear Mr. King,

Thank you for reaching out for information on your FOIA request. As mentioned in my previous update, several of the records originated at other federal agencies. As a result, OSTP is working with those agencies to determine whether or not any of that information is subject to exemption. With regard to those records that do not contain information originating with another Federal government agency, OSTP anticipates sending you an interim response before the end of next week. When OSTP receives feedback from the originating agencies concerning the remaining records, OSTP will be able to finalize your request. My hope is that we can complete your request within the next few weeks.

Thank you for your interest in OSTP,
