This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

All records making reference to The Tor Project or www.torproject.org since January 1, 2001. The FBI targeted Tor users suspected of child exploitation crimes with Operation Torpedo. https://www.wired.com/2014/08/operation_torpedo/

All records making reference to Ross William Ulbricht, or Ross Ulbricht since Jan. 1, 2011.

All records making reference to Silk Road or Bitcoin since Jan. 1, 2009. The FBI shut down the online marketplace Silk Road in 2013 and Silk Road 2.0 in 2014. Ross William Ulbricht was arrested as part of the operation that led to the closure of the site in 2013.

All records making reference to the the dark web markets AlphaBay and Hansa. The Department of Justice announced on July 20 the takedown of the sites in an investigation involving the FBI.

The FBI has previously released various sets of documents regarding Tor, Silk Road, and Bitcoin. I request all previously released and unreleased records.

I request a search of not only the FBI's main files, but also cross-reference records. I request an ELSUR search as well.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
