Dear Arnetta,

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

A list of terrorism prosecutions since January 1st, 2012 which includes the defendant's name, district, charging date, charges brought, classification category, conviction date, and charges of conviction.

This list of terrorism prosecutions from September 11, 2001 to December 31, 2012 has been released, and can be found online: http://fas.org/irp/agency/doj/doj060612-stats.pdf

The National Security Division's International Terrorism and Terrorism-Related Statistics Chart tracks convictions resulting from international terrorism investigations conducted since September 11,2001, including investigations of terrorist acts planned or committed outside. the territorial jurisdiction of the United States over which Federal criminal jurisdiction exists and those within the United States involving international terrorists and terrorist groups.

I require this information for a story I'm working on. I'm a journalist, completing my master's degree at Columbia Journalism School.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Fatima Bhojani
