Respected Officers:

I am a bit mystified by this response, as it entails only a simple keyword search for less than six months of documents. Please consider this a request for reconsideration.

From: Department of Homeland Security

Good morning Mr. Ahmad,

We appreciate your following up with us regarding this request. Unfortunately, you did not respond to our request for more information within 30 days, so your request was administratively closed.

Additionally, the DHS regulation requires that requesters describe the records sought in sufficient detail to enable DHS personnel to locate them with a reasonable amount of effort. A reasonable description contains sufficient information to permit an organized, non-random search for the record based on the component’s filing arrangements and existing retrieval systems. The regulation also states that to the extent possible, requesters should include specific information that may assist a component in identifying the requested records, such as the date, title or name, author or office, recipient, subject matter of the record, case number, file designation, or reference number.

Please feel free to re-submit your request with additional information. Let us know if you have any further questions.

Kind regards,
The Privacy Office
