Dear Ms. Russell:

This letter is to acknowledge receipt of your October 16, 2017, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, which was forwarded to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Directorate of Enforcement Programs (DEP) for response. Your request has been assigned FOIA tracking number: 842712. Please refer to this number in any future correspondence.

You requested the following:

-Any records documenting the number of chronic beryllium sickness cases from July 1 , 2010 to the date on which this request is processed
-Any records documenting the number of deaths resulting from chronic beryllium sickness cases from July 1, 2010 to the date on which this request is processed
-Any records documenting the number of workers sickened and/or killed by silica from July 1, 2010 to the date on which this request is processed

We are researching this and will contact you if any questions arise while processing this request. While we are aware of the 20 days allotted in the FOIA Statute, please note that all FOIA's are cleared through the Office of the Solicitor (SOL), which often protracts processing time. Please be aware of this while you await your response.

Sincerely,
