Dear Records Officer,
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act.
During criminal court proceedings, the Government and the Defendant commonly submit Sentencing Memorandums to the court. These Memoranda are often accompanied by exhibits, including letters and other records, that the federal judge may take into consideration when making a sentencing determination. I have attached one Sentencing Memorandum to this request for your reference. Often, Sentencing Memoranda are available on Public Access To Court Electronic Records, otherwise known as PACER. However, such is not the case in the District of New Jersey.
Therefore, I am requesting access to and copies of any and all Sentencing Memoranda for the following six cases, to include Sentencing Memoranda from the Government as well as the Defendant:
Defendant Name: WITCHER, DANTE
Date Filed: 10/27/2015
Date Closed: 9/28/2016
Defendant Name: POTTS, DAVID T.
Date Filed: 3/17/2016
Date Closed: 4/10/2017
Defendant Name: EDWARDS, LAVAR
Date Filed: 11/19/2015
Date Closed: 4/26/2016
Defendant Name: VELAZQUEZ, ROBBY
Date Filed: 7/08/2015
Date Closed: 12/22/2015
Defendant Name: VELAZQUEZ, ORLANDO
Date Filed: 6/23/2015
Date Closed: 10/02/2015
Defendant Name: MATOS, ORLANDO
