This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
A copy of all responses sent to Congressional committees between Jan.1, 2008 and the date that this request is processed. These communications are stored together and should be easily accessible.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Dear Mr. Morisy:
The office that has cognizance over the information you are seeking is still in the process of completing your request. Please be advised, due to the Government Shutdown all Department of the Navy non-essential civilian personnel beginning October 1, 2013 are furloughed, FOIA requesters may notice delays in responses to FOIA requests from The Department of the Navy's FOIA Program. We apologize for these delays. Thank you
for your patience.
In this instance, the reduction of staffing due to furlough has required that many offices reallocate the majority of their available resources towards backlog reduction in order to maintain "first in, first out" processing of requests.
This has diverted resources from the processing of your request. As a result, the anticipated date of completion of your request will be later than our initial estimate.
