I wanted to follow up on the following Freedom of Information request, copied below, and originally submitted on May 6, 2013. Please let me know when I can expect to receive a response, or if further clarification is needed. You had assigned it reference number #2013-165.

Thank you for your help.

From: FOIA OIG

Mr. Morisy:

The subject FOIA request seeks all responses that DHS-OIG sent to Congressional committees from January 1, 2008 onward. We propose that you narrow the scope of your voluminous request.

We have been informed that OIG has logs of Congressional correspondence that include columns for subject matter, dates, and tracking numbers. It is quicker and less of a heavy lift for staff to obtain and process the logs, versus locating and copying all responses for processing. You can always submit a request for specific responses listed on the logs.

Please reply to this e-mail to indicate whether you agree to narrow the scope of your request to logs of Congressional correspondence for 2008 through today’s date, which is October 28, 2013.

Sincerely,

Traci Quan
