This is to acknowledge receipt of your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated October 18, 2016, addressed to Teresa McDuffie-Frye, Research, Education, and Economics (REE) Records Management Officer, for information concerning the research misconduct investigation closed at Auburn, Alabama. Because the REE FOIA Office administers the FOIA for the Agricultural Research Service (ARS), your request was forwarded to this office for response. Your request was received in this office on October 24 and assigned FOIA No. 2017-REE-00317-F.

Specifically, your request is for:

"all records, documents, electronic communications, email and letter from and to ARS Director pertaining ARScresearch misconuct investigation closed at Auburn, Al by Jacobs-Young, ARS Director. The location of delations, crossed out to partly crossed out but not blacked to make impossible read in electronic."

Your request states that you are requesting information "from and to ARS Director" and "by Jacobs-Young, ARS Director." Please note that Dr. Chavonda Jacobs-Young is the ARS Administrator, not the ARS Director. Are you referring to the ARS Administrator? In addition, it is unclear what you are referring to when you state, "The location of delations, crossed out to partly crossed out but not blacked to make impossible read in electronic." Please clarify this statement. Please send your email addressing the above items to REEFOIA@ars.usda.gov<mailto:REEFOIA@ars.usda.gov>.

If you would like to discuss your request, please contact this office at 301-504-1655.

Sincerely,
