From: John Kirsch
To Whom It May Concern:
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
Copies of all records indicating whether a Mandatory Declassification Review (MDR) has been done or is being done on records or any other materials concerning Mary Elizabeth McHughes Ferrell, or Mary Ferrell.
If an MDR has been completed on Mrs. Ferrell, I request copies of all releasable materials. If an MDR is still being conducted, I request copies of all releasable materials.
This is a link to Mrs. Ferrell's obituary, which was published in The Dallas Morning News: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/dallasmorningnews/obituary.aspx?n=mary-elizabeth-mchughes-ferrell&pid=1958846
Mrs. Ferrell, a Dallas resident, was a well-known researcher into the assassination of President Kennedy.
I'm the author of a blog, jfkresearch.me, which focuses on people and groups that investigate the assassination.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
John Kirsch

I wanted to see if any clarification is needed on this FOIA request and to ask that the CIA acknowledge this FOIA, as required by law. John Kirsch
From: John Kirsch
This is a reminder that the Central Intelligence Agency has a legal requirement to acknowledge my FOIA request. Unless I hear a response within the next 5 days, I will have no choice but to appeal on the grounds of constructive denial.
