This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

I request records and information on author Norman Mailer, who passed away in 2007. This is a link to his obituary in The New York Times: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/11/10/books/11mailer.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0

I request copies of all correspondence between Mr. Mailer and the FBI regarding Mailer's work on “Oswald’s Tale: An American Mystery,” his 1995 book about Lee Harvey Oswald. Lawrence Schiller, a writer and filmmaker, assisted Mailer on "Oswald's Tale" and I request copies of all correspondence between Schiller and the FBI.

I'm the author of a blog, jfkresearch.me, on the Kennedy assassination.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, and is not being made for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
