To Whom It May Concern:
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
I request that you conduct a complete and thorough search of all filing systems (including ELSUR files) and locations for any information/records pertaining to connections of any kind between Hubert Afton "Buck" Ferrell and the Minutemen and/or the Ku Klux Klan. Please make a search under any aliases or like names of which you may be aware.
Mr. Ferrell passed away in 1998 in Dallas, Texas. I was unable to locate an obituary for Mr. Ferrell. I am attaching a copy of his probate records from Dallas County.
Mr. Ferrell was the husband of Mary Ferrell, who amassed a large database on the assassination of President Kennedy and other events. Mary Ferrell passed away in Dallas in 2004.
I'm the author of jfkresearch.me, a blog on the Kennedy assassination.
To aid in your search, I'm including the following excerpt from a blog post entitled "For Mary" at https://bobdorff.wordpress.com/for-mary/ (The unnamed woman in the excerpt below was Mary Ferrell.):
"During the conference in San Francisco she and I didn’t have much time to talk. During a brief break she mentioned she had been a member of the “Women’s Auxiliary of The Minutemen.” And that her husband Buck belonged to “The Minutemen.”
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
John Kirsch
