Good Morning
Can you please provide a phone number so that I can discuss the scope of this request with the requester. In order to determine whether OVW has any communications by email, OVW will have to engage in an ediscovery search of the Outlook system and will need to identify staff whose emails you would like to be searched.
Thank you very much

Dear Requester Maisa:

This responds to your Freedom of Information Act request dated March 29, 2021 and received in the Office on Violence Against Women (OVW) of the United States Department of Justice (DOJ) as a referral from the Office of Justice Programs on March 29, 2021 in which you requested: Any documents, notes, investigation findings, memorandums, or communications that mention: Reed College also known as The Reed Institute or; John Kroger or, Colin Diver or, Gary Granger between the dates February 1, 2005 and February 27, 2020.

Please be advised that a search has been conducted in the JustGrants database and no responsive records subject to the Freedom of Information Act were located. It does not appear that Reed College has been an OVW grantee or ever applied for an OVW grant. OVW is not able to search the Just Grants database for the names of individuals.

For your information, Congress excluded three discrete categories of law enforcement and national security records from the requirements of the FOIA. See 5 U.S.C. ยง 552(c). This response is limited to those records that are subject to the requirements of the FOIA. This is a standard notification that is given to all our requesters and should not be taken as an indication that excluded records do, or do not, exist.

You may contact me at 202-353-5309 for any further assistance and to discuss any aspect of your request. Additionally, you may contact the Office of Government Information Services (OGIS) at the National Archives and Records Administration to inquire about the FOIA mediation services they offer. The contact information for OGIS is as follows: Office of Government Information Services, National Archives and Records Administration, 8601 Adelphi Road-OGIS, College Park, Maryland 20740-6001, e-mail at ogis@nara.gov<mailto:ogis@nara.gov>; telephone at 202-741-5770; toll free at 1-877-684-6448; or facsimile at 202-741-5769.

If you are not satisfied with my response to this request, you may administratively appeal by writing to the Director, Office of Information Policy (OIP), United States Department of Justice, Sixth Floor, 441 G Street, NW, Washington, DC 20530-0001, or you may submit an appeal through OIP's FOIAonline portal by creating an account on the following web site: https://foiaonline.regulations.gov/foia/action/public/home. Your appeal must be postmarked or electronically transmitted within 90 days of the date of my response to your request.
