To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Copies of all information/records on H.R. "Bum" Bright, a Dallas businessman who passed away in 2004. Here is a link to his obituary in the Los Angeles Times, http://articles.latimes.com/2004/dec/14/local/me-passings14

I am particularly interested in getting copies of any material pertaining to an advertisement that Bright placed in the Nov. 22, 1963 edition of The Dallas Morning News, the day President Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas. I request that the CIA search its files to see if Bright's name was ever mentioned during the investigation of the assassination or if he was ever investigated by the CIA for any role he might have had in Kennedy's death.

I'm the author of a blog on the Kennedy assassination, jfkresearch.me

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

John Kirsch
