Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Records relating to or mentioning two related individuals (both deceased):
Joseph Lentol - (b. 1875 -d. unknown) — of Brooklyn, Kings County, N.Y. Date of birth: September 25, 1875. Member of New York State Assembly from Kings County 14th District, 1919-20; member of New York Democratic State Committee, 1930; Superintendent of Sewers for the City of New York. Date / place of death not available. Father of Edward Lentol.
Edward Lentol (b. 1909 - d. 1981) — of Brooklyn, Kings County, N.Y. Born in Brooklyn, Kings County, N.Y., Date of birth: December 26, 1909. Member of New York state assembly from Kings County 14th District, 1949-62; member of New York State Senate, 1963-72 (18th District 1963-65, 20th District 1966, 14th District 1967-72); Justice of New York Supreme Court, 1973-79. Died, in New York Hospital, Manhattan, New York County, N.Y. Son of Joseph Lentol.
Both Joseph Lentol and Edward Lentol are deceased; each was born over 100 years ago and no proof of death is required. As such, there are no privacy concerns under FOIA Exemption 6 or 7, nor are there any concerns under the Privacy Act.
Please conduct a search of the Central Records System, including but not limited to the ELSUR Records System, the Microphone Surveillance (MISUR) Indices, the Physical Surveillance (FISUR) Indices, and the Technical Surveillance (TESUR) Indices, for both main-file records and cross-reference records for all relevant names, individuals, agencies and companies.
If any potentially responsive records have been destroyed and/or transferred to NARA, then I request copies of the destruction or transfer slips as well as any other documentation relating to, mentioning or describing said transfer or destruction, to include but not be limited to confirmation that the Bureau has no other copies of said records.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
