To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

A copy of records documenting the number of employees of the Bureau of Indian Affairs who were terminated/retired, or left the bureau for any reason, for the years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, as well as a copy of records documenting the number of new employees hired to work for the Bureau of Indian Affairs in the years 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018.

I am a career journalist with work that has appeared at The Daily Beast among other publications. I am willing to pay any reasonable expenses associated with this request, however, as the purpose of the requested disclosure is in full conformity with the statutory requirements for a waiver of fees, I formally request such a waiver.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
