This is a Freedom of Information Request. By means of the following, I request any and all reports on Operation Falcon, an air interdiction program sponsored by the US Government in Mexico that operated between 1990 and 2000. Please include any and all records pertaining the results obtained through this program, the costs that it involved and the reasons it was cancelled in 2000, by the Mexican Government.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Dear Mr. Dyer,
This e-mail is in reference to your Freedom of Information/Privacy Act (FOI/PA) request dated February 21, 2013, received by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Freedom of Information/Privacy Act Unit (SARF), seeking access to information regarding the above subject.
We are in receipt of your recent inquiry dated April 4, 2013 regarding the status of your pending Freedom of Information/Privacy Act request.
Due to the large number of requests received by DEA for disclosure of records pursuant to the Acts, and due to the limited resources available to process such requests, DEA has adopted a "first-in, first-out" practice of processing all incoming requests. This policy complies with the decision in Open America v. Watergate Special Prosecution Force, 547 F.2d 605, (D.C. Cir. 1976), citing 5 U.S.C. 552 (a)(6)(C) and is applied consistently by DEA.
Your request has been placed in chronological order based on the date of receipt and it will be handled as expeditiously as possible. Your patience in this matter is appreciated. If you have any questions regarding your request, please contact the Customer Service Hotline on (202)307-7596 or forward your correspondence to the following address:
