From: Todd Feathers
To Whom It May Concern:
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
Any and all "DD Form 1750" filings by or on behalf of the following Navy employees: Robert O. Work, Ray Mabus, Thomas W. Hicks, Sean J. Stackley, Juan M. Garcia III, Susan J. Rabern, Dennis V. McGinn, and Paul L. Oostburg Sanz.
Civilian military employees must file a DD Form 1705 in order to be reimbursed for a new home they bought as a result of being relocated.
I understand that addresses included in the forms will have to be redacted.
I also request that fees be waived as I am a member of the news media and intend to use any documents provided to educate the public.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Todd Feathers

Dear Mr. Feathers - I am away from the office for the next one to two weeks due to a family emergency. I will not be addressing any FOIAs until my return. I apologize for the delay but it cannot be helped. (My back-up for FOIA work is also away on travel for the next two weeks.)
I am only checking e-mail very sporadically. If my situation changes, I will address your FOIA as soon as possible.

Dear Mr. Feathers,
I'm going to have to refer your request to the DON's Financial Management Division for direct response since they handle all such forms. I hope to hear back from their counsel today as to the point of contact. (They had been previously notified of your request several weeks ago and I'm following up today to get the proper POC. Once I have that name and contact information, I will let you know.)

Ms. Gray,
This needs to be handled through proper channels. DRMD has sent this through the Navy FOIA office (Ms. Patterson, cc'd above), which is authorized to handle all FOIA requests. Also, please refrain from responding to requestors with personal information (i.e. my name) as this is outside of normal protocol.
v/r,
James
