To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request all the documents provided under previous FOIA requests that contain the word "Ebola" in the request, from 1976 until today, as well as a list of the documents provided in each of the requests.

I also request that fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. I am a reporter who publishes regularly and will use these documents to write a news story. The request is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage. Furthermore, the requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com,

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filed electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not. We would like text-searchable documents.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,
Emmanuel Freudenthal

From: U.S. Army Medical Command (MEDCOM)

Mr. Freudenthal,

This is in response to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for "previous FOIA requests that contain the word "Ebola" in the request, from 1976 until today, as well as a list of the documents provided in each of the requests"

The U.S. Army Medical Command Freedom of Information Act database goes back to 2003.

FOIA request case files are retained for a period of 3 years, the current fiscal year and the previous two fiscal years.

A database query identified one FOIA request in FY 2015 for "medical evacuation policies of the 101st Airborne Soldiers and personnel deployed to West Africa as part of Operation United Assistance in the event of a confirmed or suspected Ebola infection."
Attached is a copy of the document responsive to the request.

Additional information pertaining to Ebola can be found on the U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command website:

http://mrmc.amedd.army.mil/index.cfm?pageid=searchresults

In the upper right corner of the facer page is the search field. Type in "Ebola", click "Go" and additional information pertaining to Ebola can be obtained.

Respectfully,

Jpp

Dear Mr Peterson,

Thanks for your reply. The link that you have sent does not load on my computer (I had tried it before the request. See screenshot). Could you confirm whether this can be accessed out of the US and out of the military?

Best regards,
Emmanuel
