Good afternoon. The NRC's FOIA Office has no record of any previous request from you about this subject matter. I note that the link to MuckRock's site shows that you intended to submit in on October 20, 2022. But I note that the address to which you sent it is incorrect (if you actually mailed it). However, we did receive your November 1st submission and will log it in today.

It is our practice to send our responses, including any released records, electronically. However, it would be helpful for our processing to have a telephone number for you, should the assigned specialist have any questions.

Good morning Mr. Pasteris.

Upon review of the documents, I had to send out a consultation to seek approval to release portions of the responsive records. Once I receive the response then I may proceed with processing your request. Thank you for your patience.

Hi Stephan,

Thanks for the reply. I was unaware that some of the documents are being reviewed for potential FOIA exemptions.

Never thought there would be classified information about a siren system, haha. I will wait for further updates.

Thanks,

Joseph Pasteris

Good afternoon.

As you was informed we did a consultation to seek approval to release portions of the responsive records. We received the ok to release those documents to you I also have responsive documents that were non-public but I have received the ok to release in full. Please be advised that there are a lot of publicly available information that are available on the NRC website. I will be providing you with the documents that I specifically received from the program office that were mark nonpublic at the time but after consulting with the program office they may be released in their entirety. I am working on providing you with the ML numbers for the responsive records and I will be able to deliver our response to next week. Again because there has been a lot of back and forth with this request I thank you for your patience.

OK, I'll be checking ADAMS and awaiting their upload. Hopefully we'll see them early next week!

Hi Stephan,

Just checking in and seeing how things are going. I’m guessing the response is taking longer than anticipated this week.

Thanks,

Joseph

From: Nuclear Regulatory Commission

Thanks Stephan,

I’ll await the final review and will be checking ADAMS. I’m assuming the amount of responsive pages to this request is a reasonably high size given the review process.

Thanks,
Joseph

Good afternoon Stephan,

I’m just looking to see where the legal team’s review is at and when I can expect a further update on this FOIA response.

Thanks a bunch,
Joseph Pasteris
