Pursuant to the DC Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Any and all available dog licensing and registration data for animals within your jurisdiction for the period from January 1, 2017 through the date this request is processed.

Please include all available segregable data, including but not limited to:

• the type of animal
• the breed of the pet
• the pet's name
• the pet's date of birth
• the owner's address or applicable zip code
• any other available notes

Please provide this information in as a .csv or .xml file if possible.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 15 business days, as the statute requires.

Ms. Lipton, On behalf of Freedom of Information OfficerPhillip Husband and in response to your recent Freedom of Information Act(FOIA) request for information on dog licenses issued by the Department ofHealth, the Department of Health is providing you with information on doglicenses issued since January 1, 2017.  We are unable to provide youwith specific address information for each licensed dog, as we havedetermined that such information is exempt from disclosurepursuant to D.C. Official Code § 2-534(a)(2), which exempts fromdisclosure information of a personal nature, the disclosure of which wouldconstitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy.  We have been ableto provide you the information by zip code, so hopefully that is helpful toyou. This e-mail and its attachments constitute myfinal response on behalf of the Department of Health concerning your FOIArequest.  No FOIA fees are due for this response. Please know that, under D.C.
