From: Department of Justice, United States Marshals

The request has been rejectedby the agency.

From: Evan Anderson

To Whom it May Concern:

Please consider this an appeal to the United States Marshal Service's rejection of my FOIA request, copied below. I had requested the following records: "A copy of all records pertaining to individuals detained and/or arrested by the U.S. Marshals service between April 15, 2013 and April 19, 2013." The agency categorically rejected my request on the grounds that these records, if released, "could reasonably be expected to constitute an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy." The agency failed to explain how these records, if redacted to remove personally identifiable information, would still constitute an invasion of privacy if released. Please remand this request back to the agency for a good faith review, as is their obligation under the Freedom of Information Act.

Sincerely,
Evan
