Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

All records regarding or mentioning Anthony John Lombardi, also known as Tony, a deceased employee of the US Attorney's Office in the Southern District of New York.

To assist in locating records, the following biographical details are known about Mr. Lombardi:

Approximate year of birth: 1943
Known date of death: August 18, 2015
Known residence: Staten Island, NY
Known second home: Pompano Beach, FL
Employment prior to USAO: Treasury Department (Internal Revenue Service and Secret Service); Presidential Commission on Organized Crime.

Please search all Systems of Records, with the following list of systems being of interest: Administrative File; Citizen Complaint Files; Civil Case Files; Consumer Complaints; Criminal Case Files; Major Crimes Division Investigative Files; PROMIS witness files.

Lombardi was reported deceased in 2015 by the Staten Island Advance (see attachment). There is neither a privacy interest under Exemptions 6 or 7 of the Freedom of Information Act, nor is there any privacy interest under the Privacy Act.

If any potentially responsive records have been destroyed and/or transferred to NARA, then I request copies of the destruction or transfer slips as well as any other documentation relating to, mentioning or describing said transfer or destruction, to include but not be limited to confirmation that the Division has no other copies of said records.

There is a strong public interest in disclosure of these records with as few 7C redactions as possible for past and present employees of the US Attorney's Office and persons past and presently in public office. Mr. Lombardi's record with the USAO in SDNY in "sensitive" cases has come under public scrutiny dating back to 1993 and has been revisited this year (please see attached article from The Nation).

This is due to the following: Lombardi's trusted relationship with then-U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Rudolph Giuliani; Lombardi's subsequent employment by Donald J. Trump (who now holds the office of President); and finally, the well-publicized defense of the President by Giuliani as lawyer.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
