Hello Kathy!

I am glad to answer any questions you may have, as indicated above. I would prefer a text communication to best facilitate the effectiveness of software used in making this request.

Regarding the P25 radio count by model number or by capability, it would be useful to have any measure of accounting; from an original purchase order to recent actual inventory, as some agencies have provided in other requests for this information.

If any caveats regarding the quantity so reported are of note, please include in the responsive materials satisfying this request.

Let me know if you need any other particular details.

Best regards,
Martin Peck

Because we did not know what "P25" radios were, your request was bounced around to several program offices before it correctly landed with the security folks.

Our initial search in the Office of the Secretary of Transportation (OST) has not found a record of any of the radios you listed in your request.

I also noticed that your request was being handled by only OST - the place we thought/think most likely to have something like this.

I don't know if you sent your request directly to any of DOT's components (in particular, the Federal Aviation Administration). If not, would you like for me to forward it to any of the DOT components (listed below)? My guess would be that the Federal Aviation Administration would be the most likely to have the radios you described.

- Federal Aviation Administration

- Federal Highway Administration

- Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration

- Federal Railroad Administration

- Federal Transit Administration

- Maritime Administration

- National Highway Traffic Safety Administration

- Office of Inspector General

- Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration

- St. Lawrence Seaway Development Corporation

Once I hear back from you, I will be able to formally respond to your request.
Thanks!

Hello Kathy!

Thank you for the update. Regarding the handling of this request, and finding no responsive records within the Office of the Secretary of Transportation (OST) for the models listed.

My last question is: does the Office of the Secretary of Transportation (OST) have *any* P25 capable radios, E.g. a model not listed in this request?

Regarding requests to additional DOT components, I appreciate the offer! However, additional requests will be made separately.

Thanks again,
Martin Peck
