To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Copies of contracts numbered with prefix "H98230-12-T" and prefix "H98230-12-P". If retrieving the contracts themselves is too burdensome please provide a list of contracts.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Ms. Akers-Healy,

We are in receipt of your FOIA request, dated 30 Sep 2013, which was not received until 30 Oct 2013 for "copies of contracts numbered with prefix H98230-12-T and prefix H98230-12-P".

Your FOIA request has been assigned Case Number 75436. Due to a significant increase in the number of requests being received by this Agency, as well as the government shutdown, we are experiencing delays in processing.

Based on the information you have provided, you have been placed in the "all other" fee category. We are not addressing your request for a fee waiver at this time, as we are currently consulting with the appropriate NSA organizations regarding the reasonable search feasibility. Correspondence will mailed out to you shortly.

I encourage you to submit future status checks via email using the FOIA Requester Service Center (RSC) address: foiarsc@nsa.gov<mailto:foiarsc@nsa.gov>. This will ensure that I receive your inquiry in a more timely manner. Additionally, status checks sent via MuckRock's fax format are often very difficult to read, which could cause delays in responding to your inquiry. I will be better able to decipher the specific email address that MuckRock has provided should you choose to utilize the NSA FOIA RSC.

Thank you for your patience,

Cindy Blacker
