This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Copies of the closing memos and reports of investigation for all Qui Tam investigations originated by this branch and closed between Jan. 1, 2010 and the date that this request is processed.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Mr. Morisy,
We received you email on Monday the 8th of April. In order to facilitate your request some clarification is required. You indicate that you'd like "all Qui Tam Investigations originated by this Branch". Which/what branch are you referring to? Muckrock? NCIS? NAVY? I'm not sure even how to begin searching for the information you are asking for as our investigations are not listed by whistleblower/Qui Tam. If you can be more specific about the documents you are interested in perhaps I will have better luck searching our databases.

As a reminder, we only hold and have access to NCIS investigations, so if the documents you are requesting were initiated by any other agency, department or Service we will not be able to locate them.
