This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
Any communications or correspondence (email, written, or otherwise) between Acting National Park Service Director Michael T. Reynolds, or his staff, and Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke, or his staff, regarding the proposed targeted fee increase at selected national park. The National Park Service announced this proposed fee increase on October 24, 2017. More information about the policy in question can be found here: https://www.nps.gov/orgs/1207/10-24-2017-fee-changes-proposal.htm This requests seeks documents produced between June 1, 2017 and the date this request is processed.
I am a reporter with Pacific Standard magazine, and the requested documents will be made available to the general public. This request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
