This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Copies of the joint NASA-DOD Final Reports "Large Launch Vehicle Planning Group Volume I" and "Large Launch Vehicle Planning Group Volume II". They should be located with It "Large Launch Vehicle Planning Group Volume III", which is assigned Accession Number X64-82035. The Large Launch Vehicle Planning Group was established July 7, 1961, and the report was published at an unknown date shortly after.

NASA has indicated that this document is maintained by NARA.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Dear Mr. Morisy-

This in response to your December 6, 2012, Freedom of Information Act request (NW39162), concerning NASA records.

The textual records of the headquarters of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (Record Group 255) are in the custody of this unit. I have searched our finding aids and pertinent records and have been unable to locate a joint NASA-DOD Final Report entitled "Large Launch Vehicle Planning Group, Volumes 1 &2.
I suggest that you contact the National Archives Southwest Region in Fort Worth, Texas, for further information concerning these reports. That office has records from the Johnson Space Center. Their contact information is on their website at http://www.archives.gov/fort-worth/.
We do not consider this response a denial under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) because the records in our custody do not include the information you requested.
