This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
• all audio recordings of Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz, speaking with a journalist or journalists, or speaking before an audience, which audio recordings were made by or maintained by or are in in the custody of either Secretary Moniz and/or any member of the Energy Department’s media team and/or press team.
I wish to exclude all audio of testimony to congress or any audio of any other publicly available hearing.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Thank you for speaking to me yesterday, April 17, 2017 regarding your FOIA request HQ-2017-00436-F. Our office is still processing your request and will be providing you a partial response soon. We did discuss that for the remaining 68 audio files that are responsive to your request that you would accepted a list of titles of the files to review. After your review you would then file a new FOIA request for either some or all of the files which meet your purposes.
Therefore after we release the initial 16 files we will close out your request. I thank you for your time and patience through this process. Please contact me with any questions. Please send me an email back stating your agree with the above and I look forward to completing your request.
