Mircea Popescu allegedly wrote back and forth with an SEC employee, Daphna Waxman, in February 2014. Popescu's side of the conversation is up on the web here:

http://trilema.com/2014/interacting-with-fiat-institutions-a-guide/

and on the Internet Archive, in case the website is pulled:

https://web.archive.org/web/20160309202416/http://trilema.com/2014/interacting-with-fiat-institutions-a-guide/

Popescu could have easily forged the emails. If you can come out and say "they're fake", that would be great. If not, I have a few questions about the initial FOIA searches. Were you able to search Waxman's emails, or any SEC emails, from 2014? Did you find any emails from Waxman to Popescu? Finally, if you did not search SEC emails at all, I would appreciate it if you did so.
