- All correspondence to or from the Department of Homeland Secretary Secretary Kirsten Nielsen's office to this agency regarding the "Migrant Protection Protocol" announced on December 20, 2018. This includes—but is not limited to—all emails, draft memos, memos, guidances, and official directives to or from Secretary Nielsen's office between 1/1/2018 to present day.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. The Atlantic is an award-winning national print and online magazine. It is a publication that has been publishing crucial coverage on politics and culture for over a 100 years.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I received this communication on March 22, 2019 by someone on the USCIS FOIA staff named Kelly:
"Good Morning Tanvi Misra,
We have searched our files and have no record of this FOIA request.
I am sending it to scan today as a new request."
It was then logged as a new request, with the receipt numbed ending in "29" and acknowledged as such. For the record, I cannot find either of those requests on the USCIS status update page online. Please let me know if there's anything else you need from me to speed up the processing of this request. I am keen to expedite it, as it has already taken quite some time.
