This is an update on FOIA request EPA-HQ-2017-007441. Your request is assigned to Fredrick No (<>). Please contact him directly for specific information.

In the interim please note that EPA's Office of the Administrator has experienced an unprecedented increase in FOIA requests. In the eight months following the Presidential Inauguration the Office of the Administrator received 921 FOIA requests compared with 155 requests for the same time period last year. Many of these requests are complex, voluminous, and require significant resources to process. Consequently, there are substantial delays in the processing of pending FOIA requests.

FOIA requests are processed on a first-in, first-out basis; EPA is particularly focused on requests left over from President Barack Obama's Administration and requests that have been granted expedited processing. At present there are over 130 requests pending before your request. Feel free to check back in a few weeks for an updated status. Thank you for your patience and for your interest in the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.
