From: Paul Galante
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
All previously unprocessed sections of file 100-HQ-403320, on the FBI's coverage and investigation of the Mattachine Society, an early LGBT+ advocacy organization. This request is following up from FOIA request 1144618-000, in which 325 pages of records were reviewed and released along with an additional 603 pages of previously processed records. The cover letter attached to that requested indicated that the combined release covered Sections 1 thru 8 of the file. For your reference, a copy of the letter can be found here: https://archive.org/stream/MattachineSociety/Mattachine%20Society%2C%201948-1971#page/n1/mode/2up. At this time, I am requesting main-file records only. A separate request for cross-reference records will be sent at a later date.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Paul Galante
