This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
All Master Station Logs (DD Form 1753) and Master Clock Logs (DD Form 1700) filed by the Guantanamo Bay military facility during the 2013 calendar year. If the Guantanamo Bay facility files comparable information in an accepted alternate form, I would like to request that instead for the same period of time.

I also request that all fees be waived as I am a member of the news media and intend to use any pertinent information I receive as a result of this request to educate the public.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Hello,
In regards to my recent requests for all Master Station logs and Master Clock logs for the Guantanamo Bay facility (FOIA request 14-39), I wanted to inquire as to the reason my request was forwarded to US Southern Command. I understand that SouthCom oversees Guantanamo Bay, but the records I requested should have been filed with and maintained by the Defense Information Systems Agency.
If I am incorrect and the files are not kept by your agency, please let me know. If the files are in DISA's possession, however, I will have to appeal your decision to forward the request.

Mr. Feathers, the Defense Information Systems Agency does not maintain these type of records. Your request was transferred to STRATCOM because they have ownership and maintain the records you are requesting. Please be informed that the Defense Information Systems Agency is a Combat Support Agency, which provides, operates, and assures command and control, information sharing capabilities, and a globally accessible enterprise information infrastructure in direct support to joint Warfighters, National level leaders, and other mission and coalition partners across the full spectrum of operations. We do not maintain records for all of DoD. As our mission states, we would have no need to maintain records on Guantanamo Bay.
