From: Todd Feathers
To Whom It May Concern:
This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
1) Copies of all I-924 forms, filed from Jan. 1, 2010 until the date this request is processed, for Regional Centers in Massachusetts. This should include I-924 applications that were approved and those that were denied.
2) Copies of all I-829 forms, filed from Jan. 1, 2010 until the date this request is processed, regarding EB-5 projects in Massachusetts. This should include I-829 applications that were approved and those that were denied.
3) Copies of all I-526 forms, filed from Jan. 1, 2010 until the date this request is processed, regarding EB-5 projects in Massachusetts. This should include I-526 applications that were approved and those that were denied.
I understand that some personal information, specifically names and addresses, may qualify for redaction under FOIA exemption 6. This should not, however, include financial details such as investment amounts or business plans, which do not represent a "clearly unwarranted invasion of personal privacy."
I also ask that all fees be waived as I am a journalist employed by the Lowell Sun newspaper and I intend to use the requested documents to publish articles in the public's interest and not for any commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Todd Feathers
