Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Records relating to the criminal investigation of Eric Eoin Marques and Freedom Hosting between the years 2012 and 2020. Marques is an dual American-Irish citizen who pleaded guilty to the operation of Freedom Hosting, a Tor-enabled anonymous hosting service. In 2013, an FBI investigation located a server used by Marques in France and traced the operation to him. He was charged with Conspiracy to Advertise Child Pornography; Conspiracy to Distrubute Child Pornography; Advertising Child Pornography; and Distribution of Child Pornography. He was arrested in Ireland, extradited to the United States, and pleaded guilty to the charges in 2019. The magistrate judge case number is 8:13-mj-01789-TJS. Investigatory work was carried out by the FBI Violent Crimes Against Children Section and Legal Attaché London, Irish law enforcement authorities, An Garda Síochána, and EUROPOL, as such please include documents from those entities as well as communications between them regarding Marques or the Freedom Hosting service.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
