This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
All records, files, photographs, evaluations, and related materials regarding Lieutenant Colonel Vincent Ruwet [please see attached newspaper obituary]. Please consult all possible cross-reference indices.
I also request that fees be waived as this request is being submitted by a member of the news media as part of a journalistic investigation and fulfillment of this request is in the public interest. The documents requested are a vital component of an ongoing inquiry into the operations of the United States government. In addition to undergoing analysis and contextualization by a representative of the news media/press, the materials will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com; the news sources provided by MuckRock are easily accessible and guarded against the temporality that limits the effectiveness of dissemination provided by television, radio, and other transient means of broadcast. This request is made in the process of news gathering; it is not for commercial usage.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

Lieutenant Colonel Vincent Ruwet was part of the Army Chemical Corps. Special Operations Division at Fort Detrick in the 1950s , when it was known as “Camp Detrick.” As stated in the original request, I’m seeking “All records, files, photographs, evaluations, and related materials regarding Lieutenant Colonel Vincent Ruwet,” and I’m asking that you please consult all possible cross-reference indices. Ruwet’s obituary is attached. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
