To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

FBI documentation on the activities of my father, Leonard Orville Fossum.
He was born on June 25, 1915, and died on April 4th, 1992.
He lived most of his life in Henry, County, Illinois.
The particular activities in question might have occurred during the 1950s and/or 1960s, likely having to do with his involvement with the National Farmer's Organization (NFO).
(My brother told me that during his career in the US Navy, he was told by his superiors that the FBI had files on our father, and I have become curious to know more.)

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Gordon C Fossum
