Re: Freedom of Information Act Request NGC19-333

Dear Ms. Best:

This is in response to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request dated, May 29, 2019, which was received in our office on the same day via FOIAonline. Your request was assigned FOIAonline tracking number NARA-NGC-2019-000501 and internal tracking number NGC19-333. In your request, you requested,

Copies of documents, including but not limited to emails, memos, letters, reports, briefs and call logs, referring to, discussing or generated as a result of referrals to and consultations with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and other components of the Department of Justice (Criminal Division, National Security Division, the Attorney General’s Office, etc.), regarding instances of unauthorized disclosures of information (AKA leaks) for investigation and/or prosecution between January 20, 1981 (or the date of creation of this agency, which came first) and the present.”

After conducting a search of our holdings regarding instances of unauthorized disclosure of information for investigation and/or prosecution, including searching within the records of the Office of the Chief Operating Officer, we were unable to locate records responsive to your request.

This concludes the processing of your request.

If you are not satisfied with our action on this request, you have the right to file an administrative appeal within ninety (90) calendar days from the date of this letter via regular U.S. mail or email. If you submit your appeal in writing, please address it to the Deputy Archivist of the United States (ND), National Archives and Records Administration, 8601 Adelphi Road, College Park, Maryland 20740. Both the letter and the envelope should be clearly marked “Freedom of Information Act Appeal.” If you submit your appeal by e-mail please send it to FOIA@nara.gov, also addressed to the Deputy Archivist of the United States. Please be sure to explain why you believe this response does not meet the requirements of the FOIA. All correspondence should reference your case tracking number NGC19-333 and your FOIAonline tracking number.
