To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Tabular data for all awards given/funded under the Land and Water Conservation Fund State Grants Program, FY 2000 to present. I am requesting machine-readable (.csv or similar) tables with one row for each grant, and additional details (columns) as available, including the awardee's state, county, municipality or tribal area, award total, date of award (fiscal year or other), grantee's name and grant's title/purpose.

Your website (https://www.doi.gov/lwcf), notes the fund "Provides matching grants to state and tribal governments for the acquisition and development of public parks and other outdoor recreation sites. Grants have funded projects in every county in the country, over 40,000 projects since 1965. Number of projects = 41,999. Funding provided = $3.9 billion." I am requesting part of the data that underlies this claim.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

John R. Roby
