Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

A copy of all documents on, about or mentioning Labor Militant, Committee for a Workers’ International, or Campaign for a Labor Party, from 1980 through 1999, including ELSUR and cross-reference documents.

Labor Militant (LM) was a socialist political organization with members in several cities across the US. In the early 1980s, supporters of the international organization of Trotskyist parties, the Committee for a Workers’ International (CWI), moved to the US and started the Labor and Trade Union Group (LTUG). In 1986, LTUG became LM. LM started the group Campaign for a Labor Party and was later involved in the Labor Party (US, 1996). In 1999, LM became Socialist Alternative.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
