Dear Mr. Uchill,

We have reviewed your FOIA request and determined that this is not a properly formulated request.
The sole purpose of the FOIA is for retrieval of records already created, maintained and used by Federal Agencies. The FOIA does not establish a research service requiring agencies to conduct research and locate information and/or records in response to questions for information posed as FOIA requests. As such, your request should describe the particular record to the fullest extent possible. The request should describe the subject matter of the record, and if known, indicate where it was created, when it was created, and the person or office that created the record. The FOIA was not intended as a mechanism to reduce government agencies to be full-time investigators on behalf of requesters or to allow requesters to browse agency files (the courts have described it as conducting fishing expeditions).
Additionally, based on the subject of the request, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) would not be the appropriate agency for such requests. We suggest that you contact DHS' Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency.
Because what you requested are not agency records, this request is considered closed with no further action being taken by the agency.

Respectfully,
FAA FOIA Office
