This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
Inventory reports from the Department of Veterans Affairs' Office of Information & Technology (OI&T) for information technology equipment, or another record of that nature, that would detail the computer hardware in the possession of this agency. In particular, I'm interested in the models and manufacturers of the computers in this agency's possession currently and historically.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public on FedScoop.com, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

In searching for records, one portion of your request is broad, in that, you did not provide a timeframe in which the Department of Veterans Affairs should search for records in regards to “historically.” Are you looking for the past year, past two years, etc.
Before we can completely respond to your FOIA request, please provide us the timeframe as stated above. Please respond. If we do not hear back from you within 30 working days concerning this portion of your request, we will assume that you are no longer interested. (38 C.F.R. § 1.561(h)(2))
